Reflections on land, life, and belonging — written through the seasons.

The Writing

The Writing Behind iGrowHort

The writing shared here follows a journey with nature — through seasons, places, and stages of life.

It is shaped by years spent working in gardens and landscapes across the UK and the US, and now by a return to Europe and a new chapter unfolding in Poland.

These books and essays are not instructional manuals. They are reflections — on belonging, stewardship, loss, learning, and the quiet ways land teaches us who we are.
This writing sits alongside the practical guidance at iGrowHort, not apart from it. Each informs the other.

The Book

Native by Nature

Native by Nature is a horticultural memoir told through the seasons.

Each volume follows a stage of life and learning, using plants, landscapes, and seasonal change as guides — from early belonging, through growth and abundance, toward letting go and discernment.

It is a story of land, migration, memory, and attention — and of how working with nature shapes the inner life as much as the outer world.
