Hollyhock Mixed Colors 100 Seeds Bulk Pack
Hollyhocks are a popular heirloom perennial flower stepped in history, easy to grow and quick to flower.
Mixed Hollyhock seeds are best sown in early Fall, where they can germinate while the soil is still warm and estrablish well before the ground freezes.
I achieve best results when sowing direct where they are to flower, but you will need top water and feed to help the seedlings establish quickly.
Sow in a small pot or plug tray if you cannot sow direct in early Spring, ensure you can give plenty of direct light and harden them off outdoors as soon as the weather begins to warm and fear of frost is past.
Mixed colors collected from plants I have grown myself and germinate my own seeds regularly to ensure viability is good.
Use a good quality seed compost and seeds that have been pre-soaked overnight prior to sowing.
Use an organic liquid feed or compost tea to keep the seedlings and young plants healthy.
When hollyhocks large enough to plant out use an organic fertilizer like bonemal and enrich the soil with organic matter, leaf mould or composted garden waste.
