OTHER:

Swamp milkweed is one of my favorites with upright stems and lance-shaped mid-green narrow sword-shaped leaves the plants attract insects and pollinators often within reach of a water source.

*Care should be taken when choosing where to grow all milkweed species as the milky sap and all plant parts are considered mildly toxic for all but the Monarch butterfly who has adapted to feed on the plant.

Plant in a ditch or rain garden happy growing amongst other marginal plants may seed slowly. Grow replacements every few years as in all but the perfect conditions this plant can be short-lived

We hand collect and clean our homegrown seeds freshly collected from pollinator-friendly organically grown plants.

Sow seeds that have been stored in damp folded paper towels, sealed in a Zip-lock bag, and kept cool for 6 weeks to help break seed dormancy.

Alternatively, swamp milkweed seeds are easy to grow by sowing seeds direct where you would like them to flower, in Fall and allowing them a natural winter stratification.

SOWING TIPS: Average of 25+ seeds per pack multiple quantities available.
