Rhododendron fill Spring Gardens with a Carnival of Colour and candy floss fun filled delight.
Following the bleak Winter discontented Gardeners are spun a carousel of carnival colors that fill Spring Gardens. Indicating the arrival of Spring with the daffodils and the parade of colour that follows, including Magnolia, Tulips and Azaleas.
The Rhododendron however marks a triumphant crescendo of Spring delight as we begin to experience warmer days and milder nights, as the soil temperature increases and we witness an abundance of growth and leaf break on all garden plants.
If your fortunate enough to be gardening on acid soils then you will be well aware of the range of ericaeous shrubs and plants that are available to grow. Selecting from a palette of carnival colours will ensure your garden attracts the attention of essential plant pollinators and bees as they build up reserves for the season ahead.
Rhododendrons for example are in my option the crescendo of a host of Spring flowering shrubs that announce the arrival of Spring.
Rhododendron and Azalea provide a procession of colour and fragrance that informs us Gardeners that Summer is indeed approaching fast. Please enjoy the parade of Rhododendron photographs taken from the Cheshire estate I proudly manage.
