If your looking for that special planting scheme to gets pulses racing then you won’t go far wrong with a colourful selection of Zinnia. Sowing Zinnia in a few weeks before the last frost will guarantee colourful Summer borders filled with Fun and Frivolity.

In a range of colours that are sure to delight Zinnia’s have set the bedding plant World ablaze with a whole host of colours normally reserved for Summer Carnivals and Parade’s.

In-fact so trendy are the colours that you could almost call them illuminious, you’ll be the envy of your neighbours with tightly packed frills of Zinnia in a creamy shade of lime green, competitng for attention with the candy selection of colours you really can have lot’s of fun with the cheerful Zinnia.

Zinnia’s are available to grow from seed or you can buy plug plants online or if you are lucky from your local garden centre. They do come with a heafty price tag so I recommended shopping around.

I bought my seed from on eBay in a range of single colours to enhance some borders and colour theme some tropical display pots and troughs. Growing Zinnia’s for yourself at home your plants will need some protection so make sure you have space for all the lovely colours you will be tempted to buy.

Chiltern seeds have a wonderful selection from just £1.95 a little more for some exciting new colour combo’s and frilled flower formations.

A weekend away and it’s all gone #seed crazy in the #glasshouse! So exciting sure looking forward to growing on these beauties.

Easy to grow and germinating in just a few days the Zinnia benefiting from some gentle heat will soon need potting on into individual pots and growing frost free for several weeks before planting in there Summer location.

Alternatively if you have well prepared borders and prefer to sow your seeds direct, Zinnia will germinate quickly as the weather conditions improve, be sure to water well as Zinna’s will respond well to some initial care and attention.
