Memories of Springtime riots in the Ayots

February entices gardeners with soil warming temperatures and Spring like temperatures that enrich the soul. Gardening is such a rewarding career! Whether it’s the day to day fight to keep on top of regular garden maintenance of your own garden borders, allotment or managing gardens for others, the payback is priceless.

The following photographs taken April 20th 2016, are a riot of Springtime colour as Tuilps fight for the front row and Narcissi battle to keep the centre stage. Fritallaria and Erythroimums quietly shine in the shade of the bud breaking deciduous broadleaf trees. Soaking up the sunlight and recharging there storage organs for future regeneration snd survival of the fittest.

Having literally just flown in from managing a large estate and garden on the colourful island of Corfu, I am greeted with a welcome worth more than words.

If any of my Springtime riot photographs take your breath away then let me know your favourites! I’d love to know what’s your favourite Springtime in the Ayots photo.
